"A man had died and another has been seriously injured at a fire in Grangehill Road, Eltham in the early hours of this morning. A woman escaped from the fire before the Brigade arrived and both have been taken to hospital by ambulance crews. Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters fought the fire, which badly damaged the first floor and roof of the two-storey house. The cause is being investigated. The Brigade was called at 0401 and the fire was under control by 0530, crews from Eltham, Lee Green, East Greenwich and Woolwich fire stations attended the incident."Text from London Fire Brigade
UPDATE: some more information about those involved, the Johnson family, here - a terrible tradgedy for them. I hope the son recovers from this terrible event.
